Again this year we are assaulted by a front that is blowing 15-25 mph during our second Rene Memorial of 2010.
We made the best of a bad situation and we all had a good time. The tarpon were here thick the day before but once the water turned milky they were gone along with everything else except for catfish and nurse sharks. The chance to share times with good friends made it all worth the trip. Thanks to everyone who made it out to Long Key bridge for the Rene de Dios Memorial.

I want to thank all the SFSC members for the hospitality and friendship.
I had a great time regadless of the murky water and screaming Easterly winds.
Food was great, Will cooked rice and skirt steak with onions and green peppers, we had no plates, no forks or spoons, so we eat on pieces of cardboard that we cut into plates and used plastic knives to stuff our faces with steak and rice.
For myself to go back to Long Key Bridge was like old times again... like the time I got my 16/0 with brand new 950 yrds of Ande 125 lb. test SPOOLED, one run a big hammer, ate a 10 lb. Jack Crevalle. Tha'ts the 16/0 I sold Rene later on for $250 and then when Rene died somebody sold the 16/0 in ebay for $2,995.
